Biblical Worldview
Foundation Christian School exists to partner with parents in our community in equipping the next generation with a Biblical Foundation for daily living. Through Academic Rigor, Meticulous Commitment to Excellence, and Intentional Discipleship – FCS students will learn how to engage the culture as imitators of Christ in the here and now, both in public and private, through human occupations of all kinds.
FCS does not believe there to be a sacred/secular divide. If we are Christ followers, everything falls under Christ. Colossians 1:16-20 is one of the main scriptural excerpts on which we base our philosophy as well as day to day operations. We recognize that, because of the fall, there are sacred and desecrated things, but we endeavor to immerse our students in Biblical concepts so deeply and consistently that they will not live their lives as dualists. The following graphic given is by Dr. Christian Overman.

View of life by a vast majority of professing Christians and Christian educators.
Dualists see the Bible as relevant to personal life, or to the affairs of the church, but not relevant to what goes on in the Monday-through-Friday workplace.
Dualists don't mix the biblical worldview with driving a truck, painting a house, or managing a bank, because they didn't mix it with geography, literature, or sports.
Why mix the Bible with life in the city? Building houses, selling vegetables, and practicing law are all "secular" endeavors, aren't they?
THERE IS NOTHING THAT STANDS OUTSIDE OF GOD'S AUTHORITY!

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Colossians 1:16-20
View held by Foundation Christian School - In harmony with God’s design, fulfilling His will, in alignment with the way God intends things to be.

In this view of things, any sphere of human endeavor may be done in harmony with God, or in conflict with Him, in alignment with God, or in opposition to Him. (Wolters, 1985)
The contrast here is between light and darkness, good and evil, right and wrong, in any sphere of life.

Since there is nothing that lies outside of God’s authority, Foundation Christian School will not elevate one subject, skill, or talent above any other. Each student is uniquely created by God. As long as they are not contrary to God’s Word, we are determined to cultivate their individual talents, abilities, and loves. Each child is created uniquely and we hope to provide, to the best of our ability, unique educational styles. We want to model after the way Jesus educated.
